For the past three years, Director Sandra Longo, a Tinton Falls resident, has followed nineteen local women who met in the pool at the Red Bank YMCA. These women, who call themselves The BlueBelles, forged an extraordinary friendship that's still going strong 20 years later.

Snake Hill, a feature-length documentary by New Jersey-based filmmakers, Sandra Longo, Debra Higgins, and Anna-Mária Vág, made a big splash at the 2007 Red Bank International Film Festival taking home two awards. Snake Hill was recognized as the Best Feature Documentary in the competition and also grabbed the Jersey Fresh Award, edging out fellow New Jersey filmmaker Greg Chwerchak and his feature, Greetings From the Shore, starring Paul Sorvino.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 'Snake Hill' to Have World Premiere at Palm Beach International Film Festival

Snake Hill, a feature-length documentary by New Jersey-based filmmakers, Sandra Longo, Debra Higgins, and Anna-Mária Vág, will have its world premiere at the prestigious Palm Beach International Film Festival, during the week of April 16-26, 2007, in Boca Raton, Florida.

The 78-minute film, tells the story of Snake Hill, a once sprawling institution that served as the last stop for thousands of terminally ill patients, indigents, “lunatics,” and prisoners from 1870 to 1962. Abandoned and forsaken, thousands of unmarked graves lay in deplorable conditions for decades, as millions of unsuspecting motorists passed by them each day on the New Jersey Turnpike.
